Best mortgage offers on the market this week from the top ten mortgage lenders

Following the long weekend, there have been some very small changes across the mortgage market, Twenty7tec reports below.

 

The married couple 

A married couple, aged 42 and 44, with two kids buying a £525k house. £385k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 73.33%, earnings of £85k and £57k

 

2 year fixed 

For the second week in a row, Leeds holds the best offer at a new rate of £3004.59 down 0.6% from last week’s £3025.08.

The average of the top ten lenders is down slightly to £3022.71 from £3026.86 last week.

 

5 year fixed 

Barclay’s is still in top place for the best offer at the rate of £2940.28.

The average from the top ten lenders is still at £2956.29, the same as last week.

 

The London professionals

A married couple, aged 45 and 48, with three kids. £1m house. £500k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 50%, both earn £85k each

 

Mortgage

Halifax is now in the lead with the offer of £3904.69. The average from the top ten lenders dips by 0.07% to £3906.53 from £3909.51.

 

Remortgage

Skipton keeps its place for the best rate at £3,641.39. The average of the top ten lenders is now at £3851.24 from £3829.32  last week.

 

First-time buyers

An unmarried couple, aged 29 and 28, no kids, buying a £525k house with a £50k deposit from the BOMAD, 25-year term, LTV 90.48%. One earns £85k, the other earns £57k

The best offer is still with Nationwide with a rate of £2863.75. The average mortgage rate is down to £2878.68 from £2883.85.

Nationwide is also still the best value provider for a five-year fixed rate at £2,863.75.

 

Couple in their twenties

An unmarried couple, aged 28 and 29, on £38k and £32k, who have one child looking to buy a house for £170k with a £20k deposit.

Barclay’s has the cheapest offer this week, at a rate of £865.22, down from last week’s best offer with HSBC, which was £868.08. The average of the top ten lenders is £871.38, down from £872.27.

 

Single person

Single person with no children after a £190k home with a £60k deposit.

Barclay’s keeps its spot at number one, with the offer of £658.59 the same as last week. The average of the top ten lenders is now at £665.24, up from £665.63.
