Data from Twenty7tec shows rates fluctuating slightly this week, as we see slight increases and some stillness across the select persona.
The married couple
A married couple, aged 42 and 44, with two kids buying a £525k house. £385k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 73.33%, earnings of £85k and £57k
2 year fixed
No change in the best offer for two years fixed which remains with AIB at the rate of £2945.22. The average of the top ten lenders is up slightly by 0.23% from £2974.42 to £2981.48.
5 year fixed
Nationwide stays in the lead with the top offer for a five-year fixed deal at £2927.26. The average from the top ten lenders stays at £2929.56, same as last week.
The London professionals
A married couple, aged 45 and 48, with three kids. £1m house. £500k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 50%, both earn £85k each
Mortgage
Halifax knocked Barclay’s from the top spot with a new offer of £3858.26, up 0.48% from Barclay’s offer of £3839.53. The average of the top ten lenders goes up to £3862.38 from £3859.40.
Remortgage
Skipton keeps its top spot with an offer of £3,603.68, same as last week. The average of the top ten lenders is up 0.79% to £3814.28 from £3784.20.
First-time buyers
An unmarried couple, aged 29 and 28, no kids, buying a £525k house with a £50k deposit from the BOMAD, 25-year term, LTV 90.48%. One earns £85k, the other earns £57k
Nationwide still retains the best offer with Nationwide with its rate of £2807.75. The average mortgage rate for first-time buyers sticks at £2819.26, same as last week.
Nationwide also stays in the lead for the cheapest provider for a five-year fixed rate mortgage at £2807.75.
Couple in their twenties
An unmarried couple, aged 28 and 29, on £38k and £32k, who have one child looking to buy a house for £170k with a £20k deposit.
HSBC stays in the lead for the second week in a row at its rate of £852.43. The average from the top ten lenders is up slightly to £856.72 from £854.64 last week.
Single person
Single person with no children after a £190k home with a £60k deposit.
AIB keeps its leading streak with its offer of £634.96. The average of the top ten lenders rose to £652.78 from £648.20.
