The married couple
A married couple, aged 42 and 44, with two kids buying a £525k house. £385k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 73.33%, earnings of £85k and £57k
2 year fixed
Best offer for two year fixed remains with AIB at the rate of £2945.22. The average of the top ten lenders is up 0.18% to £2974.42 from £2969.
5 year fixed
The top offer for a five-year fixed deal is still with Nationwide at £2927.26. The average drops ever so slightly to £2929.56 from £2931.53.
The London professionals
A married couple, aged 45 and 48, with three kids. £1m house. £500k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 50%, both earn £85k each
Mortgage
Barclays stays in the lead with an offer of £3839.53. The average of the top ten lenders dips to £3859.40 from £3863.15.
Remortgage
Skipton stays in the lead but with a new offer of £3603.68 up 0.62% from last week’s £3581.17. The average of the top ten lenders is up 0.17% to £3784.20 from £3777.44.
First-time buyers
An unmarried couple, aged 29 and 28, no kids, buying a £525k house with a £50k deposit from the BOMAD, 25-year term, LTV 90.48%. One earns £85k, the other earns £57k
The best offer remains with Nationwide with its rate of £2807.75. The average mortgage rate for first-time buyers moves up to £2819.26 from last week’s £2818.70.
Nationwide keeps the top spot for cheapest provider for a five-year fixed rate mortgage at £2807.75.
Couple in their twenties
An unmarried couple, aged 28 and 29, on £38k and £32k, who have one child looking to buy a house for £170k with a £20k deposit.
HSBC knocks Progressive BS from the top spot with a rate of £852.43. The average from the top ten lenders rises to £854.64 from last week’s £850.89.
Single person
A single person with no children after a £190k home with a £60k deposit.
There has been no change in the best provider, which once again is AIB with its offer of £634.96. The average of the top ten lenders only drops to £648.20.
