Best offers on the market this week for house buyers 

Data from Twenty7tec shows further rate increases again this week with the most competitive rates being provided by a range of different providers.

 

The married couple 

A married couple, aged 42 and 44, with two kids buying a £525k house. £385k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 73.33%, earnings of £85k and £57k

 

2 year fixed 

AIB continues to remain in first place once again for the best two-year fixed mortgage at the rate of  £2974.82. The average of the top ten lenders is up 0.62% to £3015.54.

 

5 year fixed 

HSBC holds on to first place, with a rate of £2,956.69 up from last week’s best offer of £2,942.88. The average from the top ten lenders is up 0.25% to £2959.51 from £2952.50.

 

The London professionals

A married couple, aged 45 and 48, with three kids. £1m house. £500k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 50%, both earn £85k each

 

Mortgage

NatWest takes the top spot this week with a rate of £3902.07. The average from the top ten lenders goes up to £3910.72 from last week’s £3902.27.

 

Remortgage

Skipton once again offers the best rate at £3,641.39. The average of the top ten lenders rises to £3850.20 from last week’s £3829.18.

 

First-time buyers

An unmarried couple, aged 29 and 28, no kids, buying a £525k house with a £50k deposit from the BOMAD, 25-year term, LTV 90.48%. One earns £85k, the other earns £57k

Nationwide regains top spot from Virgin Money with a rate of £2863.75. The average mortgage rate is now at £2878.15 up marginally from last week’s £2874.21.

Nationwide is also the cheapest provider for a five-year fixed rate at £2,863.75.

 

Couple in their twenties

An unmarried couple, aged 28 and 29, on £38k and £32k, who have one child looking to buy a house for £170k with a £20k deposit.

HSBC remains at number one for the best offer this week, with its rate of £868.08. The average from the top ten lenders is £870.26.

 

Single person

Single person with no children after a £190k home with a £60k deposit.

AIB maintains its number one position once again with the same offer as last week, £646.39. The average of the top ten lenders goes up to £659.54 from £658.19.
