Best offers on the market this week for house buyers 

Data from Twenty7tec shows rates are on the move this week, as we see increases across the board, with some long-reigning top offers being knocked from their spot.

 

The married couple 

A married couple, aged 42 and 44, with two kids buying a £525k house. £385k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 73.33%, earnings of £85k and £57k

 

2 year fixed 

The long reign continues for AIB who remain in first place once again for the best two years fixed mortgage at the rate of  £2945.22. The average of the top ten lenders is up 0.34% to £2996.99.

 

5 year fixed 

HSBC swoops for first place, with a rate of £2,942.88 up from last week’s best offer with Nationwide at £2927.26. The average from the top ten lenders is up 0.65% to £2952.50 from £2933.34.

 

The London professionals

A married couple, aged 45 and 48, with three kids. £1m house. £500k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 50%, both earn £85k each 

 

Mortgage

HSBC offers the best rate this week at £3865.98. The average from the top ten lenders goes up to £3902.27 from last week’s £3866.12.

 

Remortgage

The best offer stays with Skipton once again at £3,603.68. The average of the top ten lenders rises to £3829.18 from last week’s £3815.31.

 

First-time buyers

An unmarried couple, aged 29 and 28, no kids, buying a £525k house with a £50k deposit from the BOMAD, 25-year term, LTV 90.48%. One earns £85k, the other earns £57k

Virgin Money has the best offer this week, with a rate of £2849.23, up from last week’s offer at £2807.75. The average mortgage rate is now at £2874.21 up 1.04% from last week’s £2844.36.

Virgin Money also takes the top spot for the cheapest provider for a five-year fixed rate at £2,849.23.

 

Couple in their twenties

An unmarried couple, aged 28 and 29, on £38k and £32k, who have one child looking to buy a house for £170k with a £20k deposit.

HSBC is number one for the best offer this week, with a new rate of £868.08 up 1.62% from last week. The average from the top ten lenders goes from £860.25 to £866.34.

 

Single person

Single person with no children after a £190k home with a £60k deposit.

AIB number one once again with the same offer as last week, £646.39. The average of the top ten lenders goes up to £658.19 from £653.63.
